• Description

  The Karma MVP 502 Reclining Wheelchair allows the wheelchair user to lie back and relieve pressure, while reducing the risk of sliding. With thick padded cushioning and an ergonomic headrest, it’s an ideal option for long term care users – and thanks to a foldable frame and backrest, it’s also car transportable.

  You can also choose between transit wheelchair or self-propelled wheelchair versions.

  • Articulating Legrests: Extends in length as they elevate, allowing the leg to extend freely and easing pressure on the knees.
  • Anti-sliding V-Shape Seat: Slopes downwards at a 20 degree angle near the backrest to help reduce forward sliding and pressure sores. This significantly reduces shearing,  and the need for the attendant to reposition the user.
  • Hydraulic Pressure Support System: Two hydraulic gas springs provide a smooth, controlled reclining motion and make it easy for the attendant to lift the wheelchair user back to an upright position.
  • Foldable Push Bar: Makes it easy to push the wheelchair with just one hand, and at the same time reinforces the structure of the wheelchair. There is no need to detach because it folds with the wheelchair for storage and transport.
  • Adjustable Flip-Up Armrests: Pivotally connected to the backrest, they follow the natural movement of the arms when the backrest reclines. You can adjust the height of the armrests, with no tools required. The armrests also flip-up for easier transfers in and out of the wheelchair.
  • Tension Adjustable Backrest and Seat: Use the adjustable Velcro straps to change the tension and conform according to the wheelchair user. This helps to prevent slouching and the hammock effect.
  • Clean, Comfortable, and Fresh: the removable upholstery is anti-microbial, breathable and washable.
  • Crash Tested: The MVP 502 is approved for transportation in accordance with ISO 7176-19. This means it is suitable to be used as a seat in a motor vehicle for transport.
