Key Features

  • The concept of the ‘walking cushion’ is primarily designed to relieve the bony prominences such as the ischial tuberosities and scapulae and involves regular repositioning using micro-movements around these four pressure points, maximising contact area and offloading the bony prominence itself.
  • It can also be used between contracted knees or to support a drooping head (see diagrams).
  • It provides a calming effect throughout the night and supports uninterrupted sleep, with the benefits that brings to the metabolic cycle.

  • The LEJRELET Oval pressure relief cushion is a compact oval shaped pressure cushion. The Oval cushion is very flexible and pliable whilst providing discreet and supportive repositioning for a variety of situations. It can be used behind the back in a supine position as a lumbar support, under or between any bony prominences like the elbow, or between the knees or ankles for pressure relief. The LEJRELET Oval is often called the ‘walking cushion’, as it is a good size and shape for individuals to hold, providing tactile stimulus and reducing muscle tone. The Oval cushion is made of viscoelastic memory foam granules, meaning it is energy absorbent and soft. It moulds to the body in response to heat and pressure, evenly distributing weight.
